Full Transcript (edited):

My name is Paul Kalusa. I am originally from Lusaka, Zambia. I now live in Virginia, USA. I am 39 years old. I was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer in June 2021. That was two months after my daughter was born.

The prognosis was not good. I had surgery of the tumor resection in August of 2021. So the HIPEC, I had the surgery on November 16th, 2021. I think it was seven months after the diagnosis. And I met Doctor Sardi.

When I went there when he looked at the scans, he said, his schedule is really full, but he feels they can help me. And three weeks after meeting him, I had surgery. The first time I opened my eyes after surgery, my wife said, "He said you are cancer free. He said you're cancer free." The first thing I heard was her repeating that, repeating that, repeating that.

So to be here today, I just owe so much to Doctor Sardi and the entire team.

I have been training my nephews since their young age, since they were six and eight years old. They are 13 and 15 right now. I have a band with them and we play together. We play drums, bass, and keyboard. I'm looking forward, coming with them to the concert on Saturday, and they're excited and we are coming.
