We are excited to share that Partners for Cancer Care and Prevention is changing its name to the Abdominal Cancers Alliance.

Since the program was originally announced in 2023, the Abdominal Cancers Alliance has grown to become the center of our focus. More importantly, it has proven to be a valuable way to support and connect patients, caregivers, clinicians, and organizations across the community facing abdominal cancers, including rare and advanced gastrointestinal and gynecologic cancers. This growth coincided with the successful completion of our long-running Breast and Cervical Cancer Program in Colombia in 2024. As the Abdominal Cancers Alliance’s reach and importance has deepened, it became clear that this name best represents the heart of our work and the community we serve.

By unifying our organization and our program under one name, our goal is to make it easier for patients, caregivers, clinicians, and advocates to find us, understand our work, and join us in advancing awareness and improving support for those affected by rare and advanced abdominal cancers.

Who we are at our core remains the same: we are committed to advocating for cancer patients by making connections, providing education, and guiding patient navigation to improve the quality and length of their lives. And as part of this transition, we have taken the time to reflect deeply on what we do and where we are going. We’re excited to share a new mission and vision that clarify and strengthen our purpose:

Our Mission: To empower and connect the abdominal cancers community to save and improve lives.

Our Vision: A future where every abdominal cancer patient receives appropriate and timely care throughout their cancer journey.

“This name change marks an important moment in the life of this organization," shared Dr. Armando Sardi, President & Co-founder. "When we began our work, our focus was on improving access to screening and treatment for breast and cervical cancer - and together with our partners, we completed that work with lasting impact. The Abdominal Cancers Alliance emerged from that same spirit of patient-centered commitment and collaboration. By adopting this name for the organization, we honor the next chapter of our mission and the patients and families who are at the center of it. We are proud of where we’ve been, and even more inspired by where we’re going.”

While our legal name remains Partners for Cancer Care and Prevention, we will be doing business as the Abdominal Cancers Alliance. All of our programs and communications will operate publicly as the Abdominal Cancers Alliance to reflect our evolving mission and refined focus.

As we begin to make this transition this spring, you will start to see changes across all of our platforms, website, emails, and outreach materials. This effort will help make our work more visible and accessible to those who need it, and represents our deep commitment to the abdominal cancers community.

Thank you for being a part of our story. We’re proud to move forward together — now as the Abdominal Cancers Alliance!
